Limit Break Comics celebrates 6th birthday with the addition of new creators
Limit Break Comics has announced James Killian, Mari Rolin, Alice Coleman and Colin O’Mahoney as new members of the Irish comic collective, marking six years since it was founded by Paul Carroll, Gareth Luby, and Gary Moloney in 2018.
Since its inception, Limit Break Comics has sought to support small press comics in Ireland and abroad. The group has worked with over 130 creators, and is currently in the process of publishing its fourth myth anthology, Wish Upon a Star. Its titles include Turning Roads, Down Below and Meouch.
The new additions to the team bring varied skills and experience to their roles. James Killian is an artist from Westmeath, Mari Rolin is a Brazilian comic book artist living in Kerry, Alice Claire Coleman is a graphic designer and illustrator based in Cork, and Colin O’Mahoney is a writer and editor.
The collective first expanded in 2022 with the publication of Seamus Kavanagh’s Old Game Plus #1. Since joining the collective, Seamus runs panels at conventions under the Limit Break banner. In 2023, Limit Break published Mr & Mrs Van Helsing by Aaron Fever and Hugh Madden.
The new team will be part of the upcoming second issue of Limit Break Presents, to be released later in 2024.
