Books Ireland showcases the vibrant range of Irish books and literature through reviews, author interviews, featured articles, and events. Providing up-to-date information and coverage on approx 1,000 new Irish publications annually.

First established in 1976 by Jeremy Addis as a print magazine, Books Ireland successfully transitioned to a fully digital platform booksirelandmagazine.com in 2019. With a revamped website and new features while retaining the best features of the magazine and a pure love of books at the heart of everything we do.

Books Ireland is dedicated to showcasing and reviewing Irish literature being published at home and abroad. 

As proud members of Publishing Ireland and Magazines Ireland, we are committed to supporting and growing the Irish book industry. We collaborate with, and support, all manner of individuals and groups from the Irish literary scene. Outlined below are just some of the ways in which we would like to work with you.


Have you recently written, or contributed to, a book of Irish interest? If you have a feature or article that would be of interest to our readers, we would be happy to publish it to our site if it meets the criteria outlined below:

  • Writing about Irish authored, Irish interest or Irish published book or literary project
  • Word count – min. 300 – max. 800
  • Cover image of the book
  • Additional images (please provide caption/credit)
  • Author image
  • Author bio (one or two lines).
