An Capall Dorcha open for submissions

Issue four of An Capall Dorcha is open for submissions

An Capall Dorcha is now open for submissions, with a deadline of Monday 16 January.

The journal, which features regular contributors alongside those responding to open calls, accepts anything that can be defined as art or writing. This includes (but is not limited to): fine art; photography; digital art; illustration; art writing/criticism; poetry; prose; flash fiction, and essays.

An Capall Dorcha welcomes Irish language submissions, and pieces which combine text and visual work.

For Issue 4 the journal seeks work which delves into the unreal and the unexpected.

Issue Four

For Issue 4 the journal seeks work which delves into the unreal and the unexpected.

“We welcome anything that looks at the mildly surreal – we want to feel like the rug has been pulled out from under our feet, that all is not what it seems. How you choose to interpret that is up to you – we are not asking for sci fi or weird fiction (although we are not adverse to this!). We are asking for your more playful, mischievous, rule bending and rule breaking pieces – your experimental work.”

Guidelines

Free to enter, contributors will receive a copy of the journal.

All written submissions should be in size 12 font, in Word doc format, max 2,500 words.
