In the apt surrounds of the National Library of Ireland, they will discuss Patrick’s new book, Crowdfunding the Revolution: The Dáil Loan and the Battle for Irish Independence (Eastwood), which recounts the audacious financial planning of the revolutionary Irish government during the War of Independence as they sought to fund a counter-state in defiance of British rule in Ireland, and establish a national bank.
