Douglas Hyde: My American Journey | Launch

First published in Irish in 1937, this beautiful, full colour, illustrated hardback – featuring a foreword by current Irish President Michael D. Higgins – is a compelling first-hand account of Douglas Hyde’s eight-month fundraising odyssey through the United States from 1905 to 1906.

Following a successful US tour and launch in the Irish Consulate, San Francisco, Douglas Hyde: My American Journey will be officially launched in Ireland this coming Monday, 9 March in the National Library of Ireland at 18.30.
