Looking for your next challenge in publishing? Irelandia Press are looking for an ambitious and proactive Junior Editorial Assistant to join their dynamic team.
This is an interesting and varied full time role based in Dublin, with remote working opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Collating and checking corrections
- Copyright clearance
- Briefing designers and checking illustrations
- Project management
- Creating and checking digital resources and contributing to social media campaigns
- Photo research
- Administrative tasks e.g., posting out proofs, scanning corrections etc.
- Meeting with current and potential authors
- Managing the website
- Assisting with communications with design, publicity and sales teams
- Liaising with Irelandia Press and the wider team on any other book and media related projects
The successful person will be educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally with some experience in the publishing industry. Sound project management skills are essential as is exceptional time management and the ability to prioritise. Excellent IT skills are required, in particular MS Word, while an interest in design, digital learning and multimedia is desirable as is an interest in education.
A knowledge of the Irish language would be an advantage but is not essential.
A full Irish Driving Licence is desired.
