Irish Book Awards 2019 Shortlists announced!

The 2019 Irish Book Awards shortlists were unveiled at a reception in the GPO on Wednesday 24th October. Sponsored by An Post, there are 16 categories in total and the winners will be announced at the annual awards ceremony, taking place in The Convention Centre on November 20th 2019.

2019 Shortlists

Shortlisted writers include: Anne Griffin, Cecelia Ahern, Edna O’Brien, Kevin Barry, Emer McLysaght and Sarah Breen, Jamie Heaslip, Andrea Corr, Christy Dignam, Nicole Flattery, Niall Williams, Christine Dwyer Hickey, Caoilinn Hughes, Andrea Carter, Joe Duffy and Freya McClements, Tana French, Adrian McKinty, Samantha Power, Emma Dabiri and many more.
