John Hewitt Summer School Goes Online (Jul 27 – 1 Aug)

In keeping with many other literary events in Ireland, the 2020 John Hewitt Summer School is going online this year as The John Hewitt Digital Festival Of Literature & Ideas, 27 July – 1 August. Thanks to the main sponsors Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon District Council, and The Arts Council of Northern Ireland, The John Hewitt Society will hold a digital festival instead of the regular John Hewitt International Summer School. Online Workshops in Creative writing and poetry will take place on Monday 27 July, Wednesday 29 July and Friday 31 July 2020. Workshop fee is £60 per person. There are also free online events with world-class poets, authors, journalists and leaders from the arts community. These events take place over three days, from Thursday 30 July to Saturday 1 August. To register today for free access to these talks, panels and readings, and to get full programme details, go to – johnhewittsociety.org.
