Little Island seeks an ambitious editor to join their team
Would you like to be part of a small, energetic team at an independent press that punches above its weight? Little Island is looking for a talented and ambitious books editor.
Little Island was the first Irish publisher to ever be shortlisted for The Yoto Carnegie Medal in 2023 with Louise Finch’s The Eternal Return of Clara Hart, which was also the first Irish published book to be on the finalists’ list for the Kirkus Prize in the US.
The job promises to reward creativity for the right candidate—someone with several years’ experience in editorial roles with the ambition and drive to help power a small company with the desire to grow.
There is some flexibility possible in this full time role, which could be hybrid or fully office based, and the publisher is happy to make accommodations for the needs of parents or for people with other demands on their time. The Little Island office is based in Dublin, and seniority, job title and salary will depend on experience and expectations.
If you love working with authors and their texts to make the best books possible, this position might be for you. The closing date for this opportunity is 22 March.
