Poetry Ireland present a special midsummer evening with Chiamaka Enyi Amadi and Roger McGough 

Poetry Ireland present a wonderful midsummer evening with Chiamaka Enyi Amadi and Roger McGough, at The Unitarian Church in Stephen’s Green, this Thursday 22 June at 7.pm.

Chiamaka Enyi Amadi is an editor and spoken-word performer who was the 2019 recipient of the Poetry Ireland Access Cúirt Bursary.



Her work is published in Architecture Ireland 309, Poetry International 25/26, Poetry Ireland Review 127, IMMA Magazine, The MASI Journal, RTÉ Poetry Programme, and many other places, and she was long-listed for the An Post Irish Book Awards Writing.ie Short Story of the Year 2020.



Presenter of BBC’s Poetry Please, poet Roger McGough was one of the leading members of the Liverpool poets, a group influenced by Beat poetry and the popular music and culture of 1960s Liverpool. He will reflect on his childhood before World War II, with memories and poems including The Overall Winner and Learning to Read.
