The Words Ireland National Mentoring Programme has 22 literature mentorships available this year, with applications being accepted earlier than usual. Mentorships will begin virtually during July/August, and will hopefully wrap up in-person. Applications are free of cost.
The deadline to apply is May 4 2020. This oppourtunity is open to both emerging or published writers who want to develop in the following areas:
- Literary fiction
- Creative non-fiction
- Poetry
- Children’s / YA fiction
This programme is supported by the arts offices of Fingal, Galway, Kildare, Kilkenny, Limerick, Mayo, South Dublin, Wexford and Wicklow, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Library and Arts Office, and Roscommon Arts Centre. New supporters are: Meath Arts Office, Dublin City Libraries and UNESCO City of Literature.
