Call for Writer in Residence—Laois County Council and Dunamaise Arts Centre

Laois County Council Arts Office, in association with Creative Ireland Laois and Dunamaise Arts Centre, invites applications for a Writer in Residence (mid-August to mid-December 2020).

Hosted by Dunamaise, the Residency is open to writers originally from or currently based in
the Midlands region, working in any genre (e.g. fiction, non-fiction, poetry, script-writing, etc) and will allow time for the writer’s own work as well as a programme of engagement and interaction with the local community. The Residency will focus on ‘A Sense of Place’ and Writers are invited to take inspiration from the people and culture of County Laois and the Midlands region.

The fee of €8,000 is fully inclusive of fee, expenses, insurance and VAT. The full brief and application criteria can be downloaded HERE with a closing date for applications: Monday July 27th, 2020.
