Sparks of the Everyday—Poetry Ireland launches the best of Ireland’s emerging poets for 2022

Sparks of the Everyday: Poetry Ireland Introductions 2022 is an anthology featuring the very best of Ireland’s emerging poets for 2022.

The anthology was curated by Anthony Anaxagorou, award-winning poet and essayist, along with renowned Irish-language poet Aifric Mac Aodha.

The anthology features two poems accompanied by a prose piece on poetry, life, or on the intermingling of the two.

Introductions 2022

The anthology marks the fruition of Introductions 2022and the dedicated Irish language strand Céadlínte Éigse Éireann 2022.

Emerging poets were chosen for the collection from a huge number of applicants, following which they took part in a series of workshops with award-winning poets Anthony Anaxagorou, Jessica Traynor, Annemarie Ní Churreáin and Aifric Mac Aodha, along with a performance workshop with Ciara Ní E.
