The British Book Awards Announces Their Regional Shortlists for Independent Bookshop of the Year

The judge panel for the British Book Award (or Nibbies) have released their regional shortlists for the Independent Bookshop of the Year award, with three shops from Ireland. The Blessington Book Store, Philip’s Book Shop and Woodbine Books have been chosen to represent Ireland for the next round of decision.

“There is a new strength and vibrancy of the indie bookshop sector and you can see why with this year’s Regional Finalists, who all meld passion, creativity and innovation to become true hubs of their communities,” says Tom Tivnan, Bookseller managing editor and one of the panel’s judges.

After the announcement of Regional Winners, the bookshops chosen will officially be on the shortlist for the overall Independent Bookshop of the Year.
