The Yeats Society of Sligo are once again running the #YeatsDay poetry challenge this June 13th. In its first year last summer, the event managed to “Trend” up to number two on Twitter. More than that success however there was a wonderful communal reaction that took place, with young and old alike all over Ireland and around the world joining in, reading poems, making music and paintings and everything in between!
They are calling for people to join in again this year, whether it’s reading a bit of Yeats on the day and posting to social media, sharing your favourite quote or just following and showing your support for the celebration online. https://www.yeatssociety.com/
